Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming to begin your journey with a ten-week training program learning bathing, drying, nails, and more under seasoned groomers. This role offers hands-on experience and a path to a rewarding pet-care career at Petco.

During training you will work with pets of all sizes, gain customer-service experience, and build foundational grooming skills while enjoying competitive base pay, benefits, and growth opportunities within Petco Grooming.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience or shelter volunteering.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and interest in grooming.

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform limited grooming tasks including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain accurate grooming records.
• Learn and follow Petco grooming policies for safety and quality.
