Job summary

Petco is hiring a Junior Pet Stylist for a ten-week training program to learn grooming basics such as bathing, drying, nail trimming, and brushing under the guidance of experienced groomers. The role offers hands-on practice and a solid foundation for a future grooming career within Petco.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service.
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain grooming records.
• Learn and adhere to Petco's grooming policies and guidelines.
