We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Veterinary Groomer to join our team at Vista Hills Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to our animal patients, enhancing their well-being and overall appearance. Your expertise and care will contribute to the exceptional standards of care we provide to our clients and their beloved pets.

At Vista Hills Animal Hospital we’re a family that treats every dog with the love and care they deserve. Our team is excited to welcome new furry friends into our fold, ensuring each visit is a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both pets and their owners.

Our Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed

We are excited to add a skilled Groomer to our family and continue providing exceptional service to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide grooming services to various breeds of dogs and, if applicable, cats.
  • Perform grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, hair trimming, nail clipping, and ear cleaning.
  • Recognize and address specific grooming needs based on breed standards and individual pet requirements.
  • Ensure the comfort and safety of animals during the grooming process.
  • Communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and discuss any specific concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including proper sanitation of equipment and tools.
  • Monitor the health and condition of pets, reporting any issues or concerns to veterinary staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of grooming services, pet information, and client preferences.
  • Educate pet owners about the importance of regular grooming and offer tips for at-home maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide a comprehensive approach to pet care.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a professional pet groomer is preferred.
  • Knowledge of various grooming techniques, styles, and breed-specific standards.
  • Proficiency in performing grooming tasks, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping.
  • Understanding of animal behavior and the ability to handle pets with patience and care.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high grooming standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle pets of various sizes.

Benefits

Salary: $14.00-$16.00 an hour, to commensurate with experience.
