Job Description

The Groomer Operator/Trails Coordinator maintains Mink Creek Nordic Center trails using various grooming equipment. The role requires collaboration with officials, other employees, organizations, and the public. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions, sometimes exposed to hazards like chemicals and noisy equipment. The position involves operating light to medium equipment and vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate grooming equipment for winter ski trails and summer trail maintenance.
  • Assess and maintain off-road trails, mainly in the City Creek Management Area.
  • Collaborate with activist groups, volunteers, and agencies to ensure legal compliance and seek grant funding.
  • Coordinate resource pooling for equipment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience or a related Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong mechanical skills and skiing experience.
Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights or confined spaces. Ability to handle tools, operate equipment, and lift up to 70 pounds with assistance. Good vision and hearing are required.
