Job Summary

Are you a groomer with experience and a love for furry friends? Acorn Valley Pet Boarding is seeking passionate Pet Groomers.

In our Grooming Salon, you'll have the opportunity to build personal relationships with your clients each time they visit. With your skills and expertise, you'll advise pet parents on the best services for their pets and perform grooming services that exceed expectations. Plus, you'll share in the excitement of a freshly pampered pet!

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleaning for various pets
• Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, and recommend appropriate grooming techniques
• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the grooming area and equipment
• Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences
• Monitor pets for any signs of health issues
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing pet owners' concerns and questions

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in related fields such as veterinary assistant, technician, pet care, dog training, kennel attendant, or pet sitting
• Proficient in grooming techniques for different breeds of dogs and cats
• Knowledgeable about pet behavior and handling
• Ability to handle pets with care and compassion
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy pets if needed
