Overview

Golf Rose Pet Lodge and Grooming has an opportunity for a Groomer to join our team!

Location: 1355 N Roselle Road, Schaumburg, IL 60195

Shift Details: This is a full-time position (30+ hours/week). The shift is Monday - Thursday during daytime hours, with occasional Saturdays if someone is on vacation.

Pay Range: $15.00/hour; Commission Based (based on experience)

What We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate will have dog and cat grooming experience, which is highly preferred. Our busy Schaumburg location boards pets, and some responsibilities include grooming pets before pickup from boarding and grooming appointments for walk-in pets. Groomers handle pets from start to finish, including bathing, nail trims, and haircuts.

Job Summary: The Groomer is a key member of the Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) hospital support team. Groomers build lasting relationships with customers and provide quality pet care. They perform grooming duties to improve hygiene and appearance, including bathing, brushing, drying, teeth and ear cleaning, nail trimming, and hair/fur trimming.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

• Maintain and uphold MVP's Core Values and Mission Statement.
• Admit pets for grooming, noting owner instructions, contact info, and pick-up times.
• Perform bathing, brushing, heavy lifting, shaving, and scissor trimming.
• Clean ears, pluck, trim nails, and express anal glands.
• Provide medicated and general cleansing baths, parasite control, pedicures, medicated dips, and ear cleaning as instructed.
• Maintain grooming room and yard cleanliness, disinfect cages, tubs, tables, vacuum, mop, and empty trash daily; clean clipper blades, scissors, brushes; perform monthly maintenance on dryers and clippers.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge in pet grooming and canine health.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Fluent in written and verbal communication necessary for the role.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous grooming experience required.
