Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional pet grooming experience.
• Grooming certification is a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge of breed standards and grooming techniques.
• Ability to safely manage dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Passion for animal health and wellness.
• Ability to stand and bend for long periods of time.
• Weekend availability.
• 7 am - 6 pm availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform breed-specific and pet-style grooming services
• Bathing, brushing, drying, clipping, hand-scissoring, and nail trims
• Recognize and communicate potential health concerns to veterinary staff
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized grooming area
• Provide exceptional client communication and customer service
• Handle pets with patience, compassion, and professionalism
• Assist in developing grooming schedules and service offerings
• Adhere to hospital safety, sanitation, and pet handling protocols

Position Overview

The Pet Groomer will provide high-quality grooming services while promoting the health, safety, and well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-motivated, customer-focused, and enthusiastic about helping us build a successful grooming program from the ground up.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform breed-specific and pet-style grooming services
• Bathing, brushing, drying, clipping, hand-scissoring, and nail trims

Physical Obligations

Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Endure standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods of time

Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment

Take safety precautions for exposure to toxins, drugs, anesthesia and radiation

Educational Requirements

Professional grooming certification

Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
