We are looking to add a Professional Groomer to our team at Canine Courtyard Lewisville

Core Responsibilities (can include but are not limited to):

• Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.
• Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears.
• Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have.
• Ensuring all pets are safe during grooming.
• Routinely cleaning work areas.
• Recommending suitable products to pet owners.
• Answering client questions with a friendly attitude.
• Keeping the receptionist informed about pets ready for pick-up.
• Supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet.

Requirements:

• Professional grooming experience is required.
• Displays a professional manner at all times.
• Ability to work under pressure while following proper procedures.
• Time management skills, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to operate a phone, computer, and learn facility software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Familiarity with animal behavior, body posture, and hair textures.
• Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family!

Physical:

• Bathing requires sitting, standing, walking, and lifting more than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in environments with disinfectants, animal hair/fecal matter, and temperature variations, and getting wet.
