Responsibilities/Qualifications

As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you’re pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. Providing exceptional, neighborly service, you will:

• Encourage a bulldog to “gimme the shake!” and celebrate the resulting shower
• Attend our free, paid training through the renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming if aspiring to become a Groomer
• Get comfortable with all tools and grooming equipment
• Learn how to bathe and style dogs to breed standards
• Receive a free tool kit worth over $600 upon hire when enrolling in the Paragon school

Key responsibilities include:

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
• Learning and demonstrating grooming skills through the online program
• Ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons
• Developing long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services
• Performing routine cleaning to maintain a fun and inviting environment
• Completing Safety Training certification
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime

PAWsome candidates will have:

• Experience in retail or pet industry (not required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to review videos and take tests online
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass drug screening and validation tests, and be at least 18 years old
