Job Overview

Provides support as a member of the Grocery team, including receiving and preparing product, maintaining the grocery floor and displays, and selling product in support of WFM standards. Performs functions related to breaking down deliveries and stocking shelves, ensuring a positive shopping experience through courteous, friendly, and efficient service. Adheres to store SOPs, supports WFM core values, and complies with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appealing displays by keeping cases and shelves clean, stocked, and properly rotated.
• Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases.
• Monitor and prevent spoilage; communicate waste to relevant staff.
• Manage back stock efficiently.
• Assist with sampling programs, keeping sample areas clean and attractive.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Participate in periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, groomed, dressed appropriately, and ready to work; attend all scheduled shifts, trainings, and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs promptly, and model suggestive selling techniques.
• Follow proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and health standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment; ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties, ensuring signage and pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
