Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a store associate to keep the Grocery department well stocked, organized, and appealing for customers at 1700 Fruitville Pike Ste A, Lancaster. You will greet customers, assist with questions, and ensure accurate pricing and signage while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Training is provided for equipment and procedures; no prior experience is required. This role may involve assisting in other departments as needed and requires adherence to company PPE

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales.
• Build displays to drive incremental sales and rotate merchandise for freshness.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and resolves concerns politely and professionally.
• Applies proper stocking techniques and ensures correct prices and signs.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries.
• Handles damaged or discontinued items per policy and removes unsellable product.
• Maintains sanitation, follows cleaning schedules, and adheres to health and OSHA requirements.
• Maintains productivity standards and shrink control; complies with security regulations.
• May assist in baling cardboard or related duties (training provided).
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth store function.
• Uses PPE provided by the company and follows safety guidelines.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
