Job summary

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations and store procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing displays by front-facing, stocking, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
• Stocks and cleans grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy case.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps areas clean and appealing.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature and sweep worksheets.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time and adheres to required trainings and meetings.
• Delivers excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation.
• Maintains clean and safe work/shopping environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
