Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a motivated Team Member to support the Grocery team by stocking shelves, preparing products, and maintaining attractive displays. You will deliver friendly service, ensure accurate pricing, and assist with inventory and sampling programs.

No prior retail experience is required. This role offers flexible shifts, training, and opportunities to grow within the store’s health-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products.
• Stocks and cleans grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy case.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and complies with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment per WFM standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.
