Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Austin, TX is seeking a friendly Team Member to support the Grocery team by receiving and preparing product, stocking shelves, maintaining displays, and helping customers. You will perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure pricing accuracy and sign compliance.

No prior retail experience is required; you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and uphold health and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing display by front-facing, stocking, rotating, and removing outdated products.
• Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, dairy, and frozen cases.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, team leaders, and supervisors.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program and keep areas full and clean.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Provide courteous customer service and answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures for health, safety, and cleanliness.
