Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise daily operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive sales, and ensure exceptional customer service while upholding Meijer standards.

This role requires 2–3 years in retail and at least 1 year in management, with experience rotating through meat, bakery, produce, and deli. You will analyze financial data, resolve conflicts, and promote staff development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members across store departments.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Support succession planning and develop team members for promotion decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales, and maintain shrink within the department.
• Mentor and coach team to meet customer service and sales goals and Meijer standards.
• Ensure staff thorough training and adherence to required training.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain a reliable attendance record.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Serves as the mentor and coach for all team members. Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales while ensuring customer needs are met and service is quick and efficient.
