Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven, efficient retail sales experience with cash handling and customer service preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and computer skills required.
• Dependable and flexible to work scheduled shifts and across store areas.
• Adherence to safety standards and dress code.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures with accurate handling of cash, EBT, debit/credit, and checks.
• Follows all checkout and cash handling procedures and policies.
• Maintains stock in grocery, dairy, perishable categories and displays per company guidelines.
• Assists with unloading delivery trucks.
• Stocks products on shelves, platforms and refrigeration cases.
• Operates and moves stock using trained equipment and hand tools.
• Retrieves carts from the parking lot and maintains store conditions.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment and completes cleaning duties as assigned.
• Delivers excellent customer service in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Assists store management in training other team members.
• Ensures proper product rotation and accurate pricing signage.
• Protects company property and merchandise.
• Performs duties in other areas of the store as needed.
