Job summary

Colonial Group store in North Olmsted, OH seeks a store clerk to support cashiering, stocking and customer service. You will operate the register, maintain perishables, assist in unloading deliveries and help keep the store clean and safe.

This role requires reliability, teamwork and ability to read, write and speak English, with a HS diploma preferred; flexible shifts and willingness to work in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven, efficient retail sales experience; experience in dry grocery, perishable, meat, general grocery, cash management and excellent customer service preferred
• Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English
• Proficiency in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
• Must be dependable and flexible to work scheduled shifts, including a willingness to work in other areas of the store as needed with little or no advance notice
• Must adhere to safety standards
• Must adhere to a uniform dress code

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register and handles checkout procedures with diverse payment types accurately
• Follows all checkout and cash handling procedures and policies
• Maintains stock of grocery, perishable and other products; ensures proper pricing and display
• Assists unloading delivery trucks and stocking on shelves
• Keeps store clean and safe; handles cleaning duties as assigned
• Supports store management in training other team members
