Job summary

Kj’s Market in South Carolina is seeking motivated PT team members to join our grocery store family. You will greet guests, stock shelves, and manage backstock while ensuring a clean, safe shopping environment. The role emphasizes friendly service, teamwork, and physical stamina to handle lifting and movement of stock.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of grocery operations.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn multiple tasks and requirements.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests.
• Stock, rotate, and condition grocery products on shelves.
• Maintain neat and safe work area in the store.
• Manage organized backstock in the backroom area.
• Control inventory to minimize damage and shrink.
• Assist with unloading and verifying deliveries.
• Maintain sanitation on sales floor and backroom.
• Report temperature issues to supervisor (dairy/frozen).
• Perform front-end duties to ensure no noticeable wait times.
• Order product for aisles as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Responsibilities

• 1. Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and hosts.
• 2. Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
• 3. Maintain neat and safe work area to allow guest to shop without agitation.
• 4. Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• 5. Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control, rotation of the shelves and overstock, and proper product handling.
• 6. Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• 7. Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
• 8. Communicates temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food).
• 9. Performs front-end duties as necessary to ensure “no noticeable wait” standard is upheld and maintained.
• 10. Order product for aisles (as assigned by management).
• 11. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
