Job summary

IGA Market is seeking a part-time Grocery Associate to join our Louisville location. This role emphasizes friendly guest service, teamwork, and the ability to lift heavy loads while stocking and rotating products.

You will help maintain clean, organized shelves and assist with deliveries and front-end duties as needed. The position offers a flexible PT schedule, weekly pay, and access to benefits including a 401K, Pension Plan, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. constantly 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of grocery operations.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
• Maintain neat and safe work area to allow guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control and proper product handling.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and backroom.
• Communicate temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food).
• Perform front-end duties to ensure no noticeable wait.
• Order product for aisles as assigned by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
