Job summary

IGA Market is seeking part-time associates to provide friendly guest service and support daily grocery operations at our store in the region. The role includes stocking, merchandising, and assisting with deliveries while maintaining shop cleanliness and safety.

The position offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, and benefits including 401K and tuition assistance as described in the overview. Training will cover stock handling, sanitation, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of grocery operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate a pallet jack for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to standards.
• Maintain neat and safe work area to allow guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• Minimize damage and shrink through inventory control and proper product handling.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and backroom.
• Communicate temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food).
• Perform front-end duties to minimize wait times for customers.
• Order product for aisles as assigned by management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and hosts.
• Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery product on shelves according to Floco Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
• Maintain neat and safe work area to allow guests to shop without agitation.
• Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area.
• Minimize damage and shrink through proper inventory control, rotation of the shelves and overstock, and proper product handling.
• Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
• Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
• Communicates temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food).
• Performs front-end duties as necessary to ensure “no noticeable wait” standard is upheld and maintained.
• Order product for aisles (as assigned by management).
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
