Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is hiring to maintain product levels and quality control in the grocery department. The role supports customer service and sales growth by ensuring displays meet Company standards and food safety practices, while promoting a friendly shopping experience.

Responsibilities include stocking, operating pallet jacks, rotating dated products, inspecting quality, assisting customers, and upholding safety procedures in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate pallet jack (18yrs+).
• Able to safely operate department equipment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Must follow safety procedures and report hazards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full stock conditions on grocery display racks and shelves.
• Operate pallet jack to unload and reload product as needed.
• Ensure dated products are rotated or discarded appropriately.
• Inspect product quality and uphold food safety standards.
• Assist customers with price checks and locating products.
• Promote sales through suggestive selling.
• Greet customers and respond to questions and complaints.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow company policies.
