Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking entry-level Team Members to support the Grocery team—receiving and preparing product, stocking shelves, and maintaining displays to meet WFM standards.

You will ensure a positive company image through courteous, friendly service and adherence to health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include front-facing display, price accuracy, waste reporting, and assisting with sampling programs while showing flexibility for shifts and ongoing trainings.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively and provide courteous service.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Ability to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to deliver information clearly to customers, team members, and vendors.
• Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well stocked, front-facing and rotating products.
• Stocks and cleans grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy case.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and leadership.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Supports sampling program and keeps sample areas appealing.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time and is prepared to work, attending trainings as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
