Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain fresh, organized departments. You will engage with customers, share product knowledge, and keep displays appealing while rotating stock and processing transactions with store technology.

You will work in a fast-paced environment across multiple departments, ensuring safety standards are met and guests have a positive shopping experience. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
