Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Manhasset, NY is seeking entry-level Team Members to support the Grocery team by stocking shelves, preparing product, and delivering friendly, efficient service in line with WFM standards.

Responsibilities include stocking, front-facing displays, preventing spoilage, assisting sampling, and maintaining clean, safe work areas; a flexible schedule and ability to lift 50 pounds are required. No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing displays; front-face, rotate stock and remove outdated products.
• Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy case.
• Monitor spoilage; communicate waste to buyers and shift supervisor.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program; keep sample areas full and tidy.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time; groomed and ready; attend trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service; help customers and answer phones.
• Maximize sales via proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including health, safety, and weights & measures.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary environment; ensure equipment safety.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
