Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to package groceries and help customers bring purchases from the store to their vehicles. You will unload merchandise, stock bag areas, and assist shoppers in locating items while keeping areas clean and organized.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 55 lbs, and follow safety guidelines learned during orientation. Training on safety and store orientation is provided on hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Must stay attentive to customer needs.
• Completion of Company Orientation and Basics of Safety training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists in unloading merchandise from baskets.
• Packages groceries; assists customers in transporting/unloading groceries to their vehicles.
• Assists customers in locating merchandise.
• Gathers baskets and picks up trash inside and outside Store; maintains bag areas.
• Returns products to proper locations; stocks and stages bags; stocks check stand supplies.
• Distributes Buddy bucks to registers; replaces anti-fatigue mats.
• Basket relocation for department setup; power-washing baskets as needed.
• Performs red basket fill up/retrieval.
• Cleans, mops, dusts, sweeps, vacuums check stand area, Return Center, and CCO area.
