Job summary

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in Portage, MI is seeking a Coordinator to lead a department, oversee daily ordering, receiving, stocking and display of products, and ensure exceptional customer service while meeting profit goals.

You will schedule, hire, train, and develop staff; manage compliance with food safety standards; oversee merchandising, pricing accuracy, and backroom organization; and contribute to a culture of safety and growth with benefits and opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in scheduling, staffing selection, and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs.
• Supports disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Attain P&L budgeted goals, achieving sales, labor and margin plans for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Prepares, packages, stocks store and display merchandise appropriately.
• Ensure backroom is neat and organized.
• Meet or exceed sales floor conditions expectations.
