Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Coordinator to lead department operations, schedule and hire staff, manage day-to-day ordering, receiving, stocking, and display of products while ensuring strong customer service and food safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2–3 years of retail experience, and at least 1 year of management experience. Experience in natural foods is a plus, with a focus on promoting from within and a growing, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in scheduling, staffing selection, and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development for department teams.
• Supports disciplinary actions and informs decisions regarding discharge.
• Attain P&L budgeted goals, achieving sales, labor and margin plans for the department.
• Reviews sales goals, supply costs, stock loss/shrink results and goals.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Provides consultation to customers on department products.
• Oversees adherence to pricing and signage and ensures food safety compliance.
