Job summary

Smart & Final in Westlake Village (919 Westlake Village) is seeking a Service Clerk to assist customers, restock shelves, and maintain carts. The role includes checking prices, helping customers load purchases into vehicles, and keeping the store clean and organized.

The position requires reading/writing English, basic PC skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Prior retail experience is a plus. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and write English to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly to customers and coworkers.
• Follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25/45/60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts and assist customers with purchases and loading into vehicles.
• Check and compare prices on shelves for accuracy.
• Return merchandise to proper shelves and tidy aisles.
• Monitor store entrances and restrooms for cleanliness; mop and empty trash as needed.
• Support parking lot and store maintenance as required.
