Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Aim to bag at least five items per bag and protect contents from damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging with reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and keep aisles tidy.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to store shelves as needed.
• Collect and return bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and in the parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and stock seasonal merchandise.
• Know the store layout to locate products and perform price checks for cashiers.
• Support safety programs by following procedures and reporting hazards.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a calm and respectful manner.
