- Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes
Responsibilities include:
- Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents
- Develop and train DSD Receiver backup
- Ensure maximum security of receiving area
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate personnel of repairs
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions
- Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and keep logs
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
- Manage inventory for all delivered products
- Process damaged/returned goods and complete paperwork
- Check condition, accuracy, and temperature of received products
- Ensure shipping and receiving tools are functional
- Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, including Computer Assisted Ordering
- Report discrepancies to the department manager
- Label, stock, and inventory merchandise
- Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude
- Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
