Job summary

Kroger in Las Vegas is seeking a diligent Receiving Associate to uphold safe, clean conditions and help achieve department goals. You will support the department manager in sales and profit targets, while following safety and QA standards to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include reporting safety risks, managing receiving operations, maintaining temperatures, processing damaged goods, and ensuring inventory integrity throughout the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Any receiving experience indicated as desirable.
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).
• Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents
• Develop and train DSD Receiver back up
• Ensure maximum security of receiving area
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notify store management of repairs
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are kept
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
• Ensure inventory management for all delivered product
• Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork
• Check condition, quantity, pricing, and temperature of received product
• Ensure shipping and receiving tools function properly to enable smooth product transition
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions for ordering system integrity
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude
