Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Utah seeks a dependable Receiving/Stock associate to help maintain safe, accurate inventory, check temps, process shipments, and support store operations.

Responsibilities

• Report safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
• Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store manager of repairs.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Ensure temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are kept.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Ensure inventory management for all delivered product.
• Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
• Check condition, quantity, pricing, and temperature of product received.
• Ensure shipping and receiving tools work properly for smooth product transition and inventory logs.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to ensure system integrity.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary.
