Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is hiring for a Receiving/Stocking role in Anchorage. You will support the department manager to achieve sales and profit goals, uphold safety and quality standards, and ensure accurate receiving, pricing, and inventory at our store.

Responsibilities

• Report safety risks or illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Develop and train DSD Receiver back up.
• Ensure maximum security of receiving area.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store manager of repairs.
• Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Ensure inventory management for all delivered product.
• Process damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperwork.
• Check condition, quantity, pricing, and temperature of received product.
• Ensure shipping and receiving tools work properly to facilitate smooth transition into store and inventory logs.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
