Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Grocery Overnight Clerk to stock shelves with received merchandise and support store operations overnight. The role requires lifting, inventory upkeep, and maintaining clean, organized displays to ensure availability and freshness for customers.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, warehouse experience, forklift experience, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency to assist a diverse customer base.

• Maintain inventory in stockroom.
• Prominently display promotional merchandise.
• Maintain reports for overages, shortages and damages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Grocery Overnight Clerk is responsible for stocking shelves with received merchandise.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Process freight delivery,
• Creates new displays sets end caps, stocks shelves, zone/face all isles,
• Sorts grocery merchandise assigning labels and price tags,
• Ensure replenishment of sold merchandise,
• Monitor shelf life of merchandise ensuring proper rotation when needed,
• Maintaining inventory in stockroom,
• Prominently display promotional merchandise,
• Maintaining reports for overages, shortages and damages
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Warehouse experience and forklift experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Physical Demands And Work Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use the hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
• Able to drive and flexible to travel to all company locations as required.
• LIFTING: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work schedules are variables depending on the needs of price changes the schedules will be variable working from midnight.
