Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the department.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Possession of Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain same within 180 days of placement.

Responsibilities

• Assists in creating an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and valued and promotes loyalty.
• Ensures the department is merchandised per plan and meets availability and freshness standards.
• Trains department associates on freshness, inventory levels, stocking and shelf conditioning.
• Assists in promoting teamwork, setting goals for merchandising, sales and profits, and manages schedules to meet targets.
• Completes daily and weekly administrative tasks and monitors safety and compliance.
