Job summary

El Super is hiring a Utilities Clerk for store #58 Florence in Los Angeles, CA. Starting rate $18.47 per hour. This position supports the Produce Department, assists customers, bags groceries, and helps keep the store clean and safe.

The role requires physical effort and regular lifting, with opportunities to learn retail operations and gain experience in a fast-paced grocery environment. Applicants must be at least 16 years old (age 16-17 positions available).

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and coworkers.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in proper store maintenance, especially in the Produce Department.
• Bag groceries for customers and assist with groceries as needed.
• Maintain and retrieve store carts; run price checks; assist with go-backs and check stand upkeep.
• Remove waste from the parking area and keep aisles clear.
