Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Answer questions and make product suggestions to customers in the department and store.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; ensure fresh products and correct dates.
• Check product quality, review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers; keep temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions for management.
