Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is hiring to support customer experience in-store. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, maintain a clean environment, and help associates deliver top-notch service. You will answer questions, stock shelves, ensure freshness, and uphold safety standards to keep customers returning.

Ideal candidates will handle stress well, communicate clearly, and adapt to daily retail challenges. Prior retail experience and a second language are a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products
• Recommend grocery items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need; inform customers of grocery specials
• Check product quality to ensure freshness; review sell by dates and take appropriate action
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager

• Report all safety risks/issues and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
