You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals while upholding quality assurance standards and the Customer 1st strategy.

Responsibilities include helping customers, stocking shelves, ensuring product quality and freshness, and complying with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and answer questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of department products to respond to questions and suggest items.
• Recommend groceries and inform customers about specials.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise and ensure freshness.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay informed on ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature controls.
• Report safety risks and incidents to management.
• Assist in preventive maintenance and notify for repairs.
