Job summary

The Fresh Market in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead store operations, direct team members, manage inventory, pricing integrity and guest service with a focus on excellence and results.

You will greet guests, make recommendations, supervise receiving, stocking, merchandising, and coach staff through on-the-job training and the company platform. Occasional Manager on Duty responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant or culinary settings.
• Ability to read and follow planograms, layouts and department schematics.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide accurate, timely service.
• Make recommendations and fulfill guest requests.
• Manage order guides, deadlines, and shrink/damage reduction.
• Receive, stock and rotate goods following standards.
• Direct teams to restock and merchandise per company standards.
• Coach and train team members on the job and via internal training platforms.
• Occasionally oversee total store operations as Manager on Duty (MOD).

About the Position:

As the Grocery Manager, you are taking the lead in directing team members, managing department inventory, pricing integrity and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency and effectiveness and a passion for excellence to drive results.

What You'll Do:

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service
• Making recommendations and accommodating requests
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage

• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Direct teams to handle, rest, and merchandising of goods that follow TFM standards
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members "on-the-job" as well as through The Fresh Market's internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner
• At times you will be responsible for total store operations or Manager on Duty (MOD)

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you'll need:

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant and/or culinary experience
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 18 years old
