GROCERY/LEAD CLERK (Finance)

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards.   • Gain and maintain knowledge of products to respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions.
  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
  • Inform customers of current grocery specials.
  • Provide customers with ordered fresh products.
  • Recommend grocery items to meet customer needs.
  • Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take appropriate action.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report product ordering and shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
  • Stay updated on current, upcoming, seasonal, and special ads.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained, with logs kept.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
  • Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report safety risks, illegal activities, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
