Job summary

Price Chopper, part of Balls Food Stores, is seeking a courteous Clerk to assist guests, keep the store welcoming, and support cashiers to ensure smooth front-end operations.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Experience in grocery, retail, or customer service is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Assist guests with bagging groceries and offer carryout service.
• Retrieve shopping carts and maintain a clean exterior area.
• Keep entrances, checkout areas, and common spaces clean and welcoming.
• Support front-end operations by assisting cashiers and responding to guest needs.
• Stock, rotate, and face products to support store presentation and availability.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow safety standards.
• Develop basic knowledge of store products, locations, and services.
• Report safety, cleanliness, or product concerns to leadership.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership to support efficient operations.
• Collaborate across departments to support store performance and guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to company policies including attendance, conduct, and dress code.
• Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following procedures.
• Participate in trainings and continuous learning opportunities.
• Remain productive during slower periods with cleaning, organizing, or restocking.
• Perform other duties as assigned
