Qualifications

• Be able to perform arithmetic calculations at an eighth-grade level for sales transactions and inventory checks.
• Ability to hear, speak and understand spoken English to respond to customers and colleagues.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and understand English language for operating equipment and reviewing policies.
• Must have and present a valid work permit if under 18.
• Be punctual and reliable, adhering to store policies and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Observe store rules and safety policies.
• Maintain neat personal appearance and observe dress code.
• Observe shift hours as scheduled by the store director.
• Bag customer purchases per store procedures and provide carry-out service.
• Sort and return items to shelves; assist customers with purchases and loading into vehicles.
• Assist in stocking, price checks, and returning go-backs to proper locations.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Record in-store merchandise usage as required by policies.
• Keep front end displays clean and orderly; manage debris and maintain sanitation standards.
• Assist in training personnel when assigned and communicate with the department manager.
