Job summary

Responsibilities

• Help customers discover new items and respond to inquiries.
• Inform customers of specials and recommend products.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Provide customers with fresh and non-perishable groceries.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to management.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperatures.
• Respond to questions and suggest products knowledgeably.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers throughout the store.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify for repairs.
• Notify management of accidents.
• Work cooperatively in fast-paced or stressful settings.
• Manage conflicts calmly and constructively.
• Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help as needed.
