Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a motivated Team Member to support the Grocery department. You will stock shelves, prepare products, and maintain appealing displays while ensuring food safety and quality standards.

You’ll provide friendly, efficient customer service, assist with sampling programs, and participate in store operations and team training. This entry-level role emphasizes cooperation, accuracy, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Keeps cases and shelves clean and well stocked through front-facing, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
• Stacks and cleans grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and shift supervisors.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps sample areas full and attractive.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time and ready to work; participates in required trainings and meetings.
• Delivers excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly, and models suggestive selling.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
