Job summary

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk helps customers discover items and answers questions.
• Informs customers of specials and suggests products to meet needs.
• Checks product quality and sell-by dates; ensures freshness.
• Provides fresh and non-perishable groceries to customers.
• Labels, stocks, and inventories department merchandise.
• Reports discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintains safety and temperature logs as required.
• Learns products to answer questions and make recommendations.
