Job summary

Randalls is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales and profitability, and ensure in-stock conditions, accurate pricing, and high merchandising standards across the department. In this hands-on leadership role you will hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment.

You’ll monitor shrink, implement food-safety policies, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a grocery department or similar retail team.
• Proven ability to manage inventory, pricing, and merchandising.
• Strong customer service orientation with coaching and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department, focusing on service, sales, and readiness
• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and resolve concerns professionally
• Ensure shelves are clean, stocked, and merchandised to standards
• Execute planograms, promotions, and seasonal transitions
• Manage ordering, inventory, rotation, and backroom organization
• Monitor shrink and enforce waste reduction procedures
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, safety, and compliance
• Hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop associates
