Job summary

Food 4 Less in San Francisco is seeking an experienced department manager to lead the Grocery team and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise all department functions, manage daily operations, train staff on inventory and CAO, coordinate pricing and promotions, ensure food safety, and work with store leadership to optimize budgets and performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Any management experience.
• 1 year of grocery retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Direct and supervise all functions, duties and activities for the department.
• Support the day-to-day functions of the Grocery operations.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and CAO.
• Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process.
• Schedule daily, weekly and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
• Maintain an awareness of inventory conditions and note discrepancies.
• Assist store management in budgets, profit and loss reviews, and financial reports.
• Monitor and control expenses for the department.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
