Albertsons Companies is seeking an Assistant Grocery Department Manager to help oversee the Grocery Department, drive sales, and maintain in-store standards. You will lead a team, coach associates, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on in-stock conditions, pricing accuracy, merchandising execution, and planogram compliance, with a strong emphasis on safety and training.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness
• Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front-faced, and merchandised to company standards
• Assist with executing planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising
• Assist with managing orders, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization
• Assist with monitoring shrink and implementing procedures to reduce waste and loss
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards
• Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and developing grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment
• Perform Grocery Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Grocery Manager
