Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking an Assistant Department Manager for the Grocery Department in North Las Vegas.

You will assist with planning, staffing, training and directing associates while maximizing store sales and profits safely. Emphasis on respectful, honest, and inclusive service aligned with Kroger values.

This role involves scheduling, inventory control and ensuring high standards of customer service and merchandising.

Qualifications

Understanding of department operations and policies.

Responsibilities

Assist the Department Manager in organizing work, staffing, training and scheduling associates.
Respond to customer or associate comments, complaints and questions professionally.
Use CAO to manage ordering and balance on hand in the Department Manager’s absence.
Price and display merchandise and maintain signage, rotation, and space.
Promote merchandising techniques and participate in promotional activities.
Ensure compliance with dress code, sanitation and safety policies.
Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
Maintain clean and safe floor, shelves and grocery areas.
